File Manager

  • First, move all images and files to the file manager. Use the file manager to insert photographs and files into your website.
  • You can find the File Manager in the Webity Administration module, after clicking the FILES item in the above menu.
  • The File manager is similar to the well-known image browsers.

How to create a folder?
1. Click the "New Folder" button.
2. Fill in the name and click the "Create Folder" button.

How to upload files to the file manager?
1. Click the "Upload Files" button.
2. Find the files (or photos) that you wish to insert and upload these to the File manager. Click the "Upload Files" button. You have just inserted the photos into the File Manager.

How to insert photos into a specific web page?
If you wish to have the photo surrounded by text, create a "Text editor" block. You may load them to the "Images" tab from the File manager. If you have purchased the Photo Gallery block, create a new "Photo Gallery" block and load the pictures here.

How to insert a downloadable file to the page?

Option A: (for the users of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox browsers)
1. Upload the file to the "Files" folder on the server.
2. Go to the text editor, where you wish to create the link to that file.
3. Enter the text: "Download user's manual in .pdf format"
4. Mark the text with your mouse and click the icon "Insert/Edit link" - the 5th from the right.
5. Click on "Browse the server", it will find the list of the files from the My files folder (if this will not run, set "allow pop up windows for this page"
and repeat the step)
6. Set the protocol as "OTHER" and save the changes.

Option B: (for the users of Mozilla Firefox browsers)
1. Upload the file to the "Files" folder on the server.
2. Click the right mouse button on the loaded file and find out its properties. The data were are searching for is the URL address of the link. Select the text of the link that is after the address mytestsite.biznisweb.sk with your mouse (for example: /domain/mytestsite/files/fileXX.pdf - e.g. including the slash )
3. Copy the link (Ctrl+C)
4. Go to the text editor, where you wish to create the reference to that file
5. Enter the text: "Download user's manual in .pdf format"
6. Mark the text with your mouse and click the icon "Insert/Edit link" - the 5th from the right.
7. Insert the link (Ctrl+V) to the free URL field and click save.
